Specializing in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs) and community development lending, Chris has a proven track record of structuring and closing high-impact investments that transform underserved communities across the nation.

Chris's expertise lies in leveraging federal, state, and local incentives to fund projects that drive equitable outcomes and sustainable development. He collaborates with nonprofits, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), community development entities (CDEs), tax credit investors, and developers to navigate the intricacies of federal and state NMTC transactions, ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits throughout the process.

Since 2007, Chris has been at the forefront of community development finance, guiding clients through every level of complex transactions. From health clinics and performing arts venues to supermarkets and senior living facilities, he has helped bring a wide array of catalytic developments to life. Chris also offers ongoing support with post-closing compliance, loan modifications, and workouts in challenging situations, ensuring the long-term success of the projects he helps bring to closing.

Before founding KCD Legal Partners with Kevin Savory and David Lutz, Chris was a partner at two national law firms, where he honed his skills and built a reputation as a leading authority in community development finance.
