In addition to mastering the legal aspects of tax credit transactions, David has also successfully developed over $100 million of impactful projects throughout the country. This combination of legal and business experience allows him to approach transactions with a holistic view, ensuring that all angles are considered for the best possible outcomes for clients.
David’s market-leading knowledge spans New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), historic rehabilitation tax credits, renewable energy tax credits, property assessed clean energy (PACE) programs and rural jobs programs. As a trusted counsel to investors, community development entities, developers, syndicators, lenders, and businesses, David also provides comprehensive legal guidance on lending, real estate, and tax law matters.
Prior to founding KCD Legal Partners with Chris Perkowski and Kevin Savory, David was a partner at two national law firms. David also serves as a Managing Director of Venture Community Capital, LLC, a diversified finance and development company.
