Kalissa’s substantial experience spans community development projects that leverage a variety of funding sources, including impact lending, traditional real estate financing, equity investments, New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits (HTCs), and renewable energy incentives. With a background representing developers, lenders, investors, and nonprofit organizations, Kalissa offers a well-rounded perspective that allows her to deliver comprehensive counsel. Kalissa enjoys working with clients on the creative structuring of tax credit and incentive transactions, drafting legal documentation, managing the unique diligence challenges of each deal, and assisting with compliance and asset management matters.

Prior to joining KCD Legal Partners, Kalissa worked at a national law firm focusing on community development financing and held roles in local and state government overseeing public-private initiatives.
